*Overview:*
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented IT Help Desk Technician to join our team. The IT Help Desk Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word to document and report technical issues and solutions effectively.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Provide first-level technical support to internal staff and consumers, responding to IT support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripherals.
- Assist in the onboarding process by setting up new user accounts and workstations.
- Maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions within the ticketing system using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to consumers and non-technical staff.
- Escalate complex problems to higher-level IT staff or external vendors when necessary.
- Perform regular system updates and backups.
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on the use of hardware, software, and network services.
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
- Participate in IT projects and other duties as assigned.
