Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
Provide first-level support for desktop-related issues, including hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Respond to help desk tickets, emails, and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and other end-user devices.
Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
Hardware Setup and Maintenance:
Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware components, such as CPUs, RAM, hard drives, and peripherals.
Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades on desktop systems.
Software Installation and Configuration:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and standard desktop applications.
Assist users with software-related issues and provide training when necessary.
User Account Management:
Create and manage user accounts, profiles, and access permissions.
Reset passwords and assist users with account-related issues.
Endpoint Security:
Implement and enforce endpoint security measures, including antivirus software and system updates.
Collaborate with the security team to address security incidents on end-user devices.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions for common issues.
Communication:
Communicate technical information to non-technical users in a clear and understandable manner.
Provide updates on issue resolution and follow-up with users as needed.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other IT support teams to ensure seamless resolution of issues.
Work with system administrators and network engineers to address connectivity and access issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
Associate's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field.
Entry-level experience in desktop support or a similar role.
Basic knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common productivity applications.
