Job Responsibilities for Mechanical Designer
Should have excellent working experience on Solidworks.
Prepare calculations on the proposed machine before completing technical drawings
Creates CAD models, including part and assembly drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) to
support manufacturing, testing, and assembly, and support components to assist with assembly.
Should be excellent working on Weldment, Sheet Metal, Simulation, Part assembly, FEA.
Sketch and draw up designs using input from engineers and the production team
Calculate factors like tolerance, dimensions, and thermal and structural analysis
Create designs in line with company procedure, regulations, and client standards
Submit drawings to upper management and construction teams
Use customer feedback and data to upgrade, improve or repair the company's existing machines
Provide support during the building and installation process, ensuring that the machine is built properly and according to design specifications
Finalize designs and send prints to the production department
Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity
Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for production.
Ensure raw material used in the product is as per design requirements.
Ensure parts going to the vendor for further work meet customer expectations and as per design.
Write reports to document deficiencies and errors of products
Inspect products to ensure that they meet quality standards
Disassemble product parts to inspect them individually
Monitor production operations to ensure conformance to company specifications
Ensure that the parts received from the third party vendors like CNC cutting and bending system suppliers to ensure that they are as per the given dimensions and tolerance then only accept the parts
