Minimum of 3years managing SQL Server databases in a public Cloud environment through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
Configuring and maintaining database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Application of data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
Performing independent analysis including solving and correcting issues in real time and providing problem resolution end-to-end.
Ensuring all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business Recovery Point Objectives (RPO). This includes testing backups to ensure we can meet the business Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
Troubleshooting SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends.
Configuring SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms.
Installation and configuration new SQL Servers. Deploy & Analysis database change scripts provided by Developers.
Providing 24x7 support for critical production systems. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. This includes handling daily issues (Blocking, long running Transactions, Deadlocks, etc.)
Troubleshooting issues related to TempDB, Transaction log and System databases
High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) like Always ON, Replication, Log shipping, Mirroring and Clustering.
