Job Description:

Duties & Responsibilities

Proficient in Postgres SQL or MySQL

Proficient in database modelling, Data extraction and storage logic building, Convert the business requirement into technical solutions

Proficient in writing Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages and Triggers using PL/SQL

Implement DB performance tuning and optimization

Design and implement scalable database schemas and configuration

Understanding of server maintenance and maintenance scripts.

Knowledge of server profiling and resource optimization and tweaking configurations as necessary.

Should have experience in health monitoring and troubleshooting of database servers

Exposure to logical schema design and physical storage design problems

Experience with database scaling including logical and physical partitioning, database shading, and high availability.

Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications.

Good in problem-solving skills & quick learner.

Skills and Qualifications

Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL statements with database management

Understanding of MS-SQL or My SQL or Postgresql

Experience with replication configuration databases

Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices RDBMS

Knowledge of jobs and schedulers.

Familiarity with other SQL/NoSQL databases such as Ms-SQL or My SQL or Postgresql, MongoDB, etc.

Knowledge of limitations in MySQL and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases

Ability to find easy solutions to complicated problems.
