DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Transfer data from paper/digital formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners

2. Type in data provided directly from client portals

3. Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes

4. Verify data by comparing it to source documents

5. Update existing data

6. Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested

7. Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation

8. Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Fast typing skills; Knowledge of the touch typing system is strongly preferred

2. Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)

3. Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices

4. Basic understanding of databases

5. Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills

6. Great attention to detail

7. High school degree or equivalent
