Job Description

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample

parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of

operations

• Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces

• Set up, operate and maintain complex machining operations and machine tools

including Conventional and CNC cylindrical grinding machines to perform precision

grinding including to grind internal as well as external diameters to produce endmills,

ball mill and drill tools etc.,

• Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools

• Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using

precision measuring instruments

• May set up and program machine tools for use by machining tool Operator

SKILLS / EMPLOYER REQUIREMENTS/ EDUCATION:

• Cylindrical grinding machine operator both conventional and CNC

• Above average math and problem-solving skills as well as ability to use basic

trigonometry to calculate angles

• Previous experience operating CNC grinding equipment such as: Studers, TOS grinders

preferred.

• High school level (Secondary school) is mandatory and any diploma, degree, or trade

certificates are advantages

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience

Salary:

• CAD – per year ($25 per hour)
