Role & responsibilities
Cost Analysis:
o Analyze and evaluate costs associated with materials, labor, equipment, and overheads required for SPM projects.
o Knowledge to Participate in Tender, knowledge to prepare in tender
o Implement zero-based costing principles to thoroughly assess all expenses, starting from a baseline of zero, and justify each cost item based on its necessity and contribution to project objectives.
Estimation and Quoting:
o Develop accurate cost estimates for SPM projects based on technical specifications bill of quantities (BOQ), and manufacturing processes.
o Incorporate zero-based costing methodology into the estimation process to ensure that all costs are justified and optimized for maximum value.
Value Engineering:
o Work closely with design and engineering teams to identify opportunities for value engineering to reduce costs while maintaining or enhancing product performance and quality.
o Implement zero-based costing techniques to challenge existing cost assumptions and explore innovative solutions for cost reduction without sacrificing product integrity.
Vendor Management:
o Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for components, materials, and services required for SPM manufacturing.
o Apply zero-based costing principles when negotiating with vendors to ensure that costs are justified and aligned with project objectives, seeking alternative suppliers if necessary to optimize expenses.
Cost Tracking and Control:
o Develop and maintain cost tracking systems to monitor project expenditures against budgets throughout the product lifecycle.
