Desired qualification and skills of the job applicant should be Post Graduation in Ophthalmology and proficiency in Cataract surgery (SICS/Phaco). Candidates who have recently completed a long-term fellowship program may also apply. Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning and implementation of clinical and community outreach services.
Treat patients with respect and ensure they receive high quality eye care services.
Assist with the training of eye care staff and volunteers as requested by the CMO/CEO
Act as a role model to Junior Doctors and Paramedic Staff regarding the quality of treatment provided to patients and in the performance of other clinical activities.
Participate in weekly Continuous Medical Education sessions for sharing details of interesting cases, take classes regarding rare diseases.
Ensure the equipment is in good working order and medical supplies are available to maintain patient flow.
Participate in state and national level ophthalmic conferences for skill and knowledge enhancement as well as for presenting research papers/case studies.
Participate in monthly clinical audit with CMO/CEO to ensure adequate follow-up/corrective measures to ensure quality of care and capacity building.
Attend training sessions within and outside the hospital to enhance professional skills.
Responsible for other duties as designated by the CMO/CEO
