Job Summary:
The Consultant in General Medicine is a senior physician responsible for providing comprehensive medical care for a wide range of medical conditions. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with acute and chronic illnesses, supervising junior medical staff, and contributing to the teaching, training, and research activities of the department. The Consultant will also collaborate with specialists from other departments for multidisciplinary patient care.

Provide expert care and management of patients with a variety of medical conditions, including common diseases, chronic illnesses, and acute medical emergencies.
Perform thorough patient evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments.
Interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and diagnostic tests to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Offer medical consultations for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients.
Oversee and manage the clinical care of patients in the hospital or outpatient clinics, ensuring timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Coordinate with specialists for patients requiring multidisciplinary care and manage complex cases.
Patient Management:
Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, including cardiovascular diseases, respiratory illnesses, gastrointestinal disorders, infectious diseases, endocrine issues, and more.
Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for patients, regularly assessing the effectiveness and adjusting care plans as needed.
Provide counseling to patients and their families on treatment options, lifestyle changes, and disease management.
Supervise the medical care of patients in intensive care units (ICU), emergency departments, or wards, depending on the situation.
