Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive medical care for critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
Perform bedside emergency life-saving procedures including intubation, central line placement, chest tube insertion, and other critical interventions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Monitor patient progress, interpret diagnostic tests, and adjust treatment protocols as necessary.
Educate and guide nursing staff on best practices for patient management in the ICU.
Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding treatment options, patient status, and prognosis.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety within the ICU.
Stay current with advancements in critical care medicine through continuous education and professional development.
