Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding or other temporary structures.
Perform manual labor tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy materials, operating hand and power tools, and assisting with the installation of building components.
Assist skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, with their tasks as needed.
Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning up debris and disposing of waste materials properly.
Help with the loading and unloading of construction materials and equipment, ensuring they are securely transported and stored.
Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members to ensure work is completed according to specifications and timelines.
Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to enhance your knowledge of construction practices and procedures.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including quality standards and productivity targets.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful completion of construction projects.
Requirements:
Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
Ability to perform physical tasks requiring strength and stamina, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.
Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is an asset.
Strong work ethic and reliability, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory.
Willingness to undergo additional training if required.
