Job Description

We are currently seeking for passionate and dynamic Kitchen professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of creative solutions.

JD – Commi 1

Role will report to Sous Chef/CDP/DCDP

You will be responsible for final preparations, daily production, Quality and other duties assigned to meet the set standards. Key responsibilities will be:

• To prepare, bake and ensure that the highest possible quality is maintained and that agreed standards for food preparation and presentation are met at all times under guidance from a senior chef

• To monitor stock movement and be responsible for ordering on your section

• To aid in achieving food cost, kitchen standard and overall objectives

• To remove any hazards and make safe any defects in the kitchen or its equipment and report any problems to a senior chef

• To keep high standards of personal hygiene, clean uniform and overall camaraderie

• To adhere to company procedures in regards to temperature checks, food labelling and dating, cleaning schedules and hygiene regulations at all times ensuring that all records of such are maintained

• To be punctual for work and report directly to your reporting manager.

• To assist on other sections or help with other duties when the kitchen is short staffed, in emergencies, and/or when required.

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

1. You should have a professional kitchen apprenticeship or chefs training course

2. Previous experiences in quality establishments along with good culinary skills, within a bakery/confectionery concept

3. A proven track of food preparation, presentation and preservation knowledge is an essential. Should be fully aware of all processes including preparing doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating as appropriate
