Job Title: Milling Operator

Purpose of the Position: To operate CNC milling machines and perform various tasks to produce high-quality parts according to specifications, contributing to the efficiency of the production process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC milling machines.

Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine machine setup and production methods.

Inspect parts for defects and ensure conformance to specifications.

Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and production efficiency.

Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

Record production data and report any issues to the supervisor.

Essential Skills:

Experience with CNC milling machine operation.

Basic understanding of machining principles and practices.

Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining preferred.

Previous experience as a milling operator or in a similar role.

Proficiency in working with Siemens controllers for CNC milling machines.

Familiarity with Harco controllers commonly used in milling operations.

Working Conditions:

Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and potential hazards associated with machinery operation.

May require standing for extended periods and handling of heavy materials.

Performance Expectations:

Produce parts that meet all quality standards in a timely manner.

Minimize machine downtime through effective operation and maintenance.

Reporting Structure: The Milling Operator will report to the Milling Supervisor or Production Manager.
