A clinical applications specialist educates and trains healthcare professionals to use new software and equipment like radiation apparatuses, imaging equipment and medical management software in hospital settings or other healthcare facilities.
As a CAS you often perform product and device demonstrations or install new software and computer programs and train staff on how to use them leading workshops and seminars for the equipment or software
The primary duties and responsibilities of a CAS working with vendors and healthcare facilities include
Evaluating and testing software vendors and systems
Selecting the right program match for an organization and implementing it
Delivering customer service and training throughout the implementation process
Preparing all elements of the transition to new devices or software
Troubleshooting, maintaining and optimizing the software
Monitoring the transition process and reporting updates to senior managers
Establishing relationships within the medical field to advance sales
Collect feedback on site and system usage data (post-market survey testimonials case studies...)
Available for frequent travel to Centers as per the requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
At least 3 yrs of Experience as an Application Specialist
Biomedical engineer degree or equivalent bachelors degree in information science engineering or computer science.
Command of written and spoken English proficiency
