Civil engineers design and build bridges, roads, railways, and tunnels. They design and build complicated structures and large buildings such as multi-storey car parks, train stations, stadiums, hospitals and airports.

Ensure that projects are completed timely and cost effectively following engineering standards and city specifications. Negotiate, manage, and prepare compensation for contractors engaged in City contracts. Prepare and review plans and check construction for conformance with standards and specifications.
