Ensure that projects are completed timely and cost effectively following engineering standards and city specifications. Negotiate, manage, and prepare compensation for contractors engaged in City contracts. Prepare and review plans and check construction for conformance with standards and specifications.

Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Collects and analyses data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
