Job Description

Responsibilities :

-Organize, coordinate and ensure timely delivery of shipments.

-Develop business relations with cargo/logistics companies and negotiate for the best shipment prices.

-Personally inspect conditions of the warehouse, storage, stock details, and vehicle/containers for transport upon each shipment.

-Optimize costs of transport and efficiency of the supply chain.

-Collaborate with different teams in the company and trade/channel partners for stock status and delivery.

-Redauce supply chain gaps and resolve issues if any at the earliest amicably.

-Develop / Amend safe procedures for stock storage and shipment as per industry.

-Handling Export & Import Shipment / Coordinating with shipping agencies/customs/negotiation and resolving issues.

Skills :

-Use of technology (ERP) for an updated status of shipment.

-Ability to work with a varied set of people (management, sales, production, quality, logistics ground staff, etc.) to ensure optimum use of resources and cost of shipments.

-Have a rapport with different categories of logistics/transport companies for air, sea, and land freights.

-Ability to communicate fluently in English and local languages.

-Ability to resolve supply chain glitches quickly and ensure seamless transport.

Knowledge :

-A good understanding of different ERPs (enterprise resource planning) and trending software used in logistics.

-A good understanding of logistics budgets and updated knowledge of freight charges (domestic and international).

-Updated knowledge of compliance requirements of Government Rules and related tax rules.

-Knowledge of safety procedures for stock storage.

-Knowledge of strategizing supply-chain management.

-Knowledge of Export & Import preferred.
