Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Audit Management:

o Lead audit processes, including preparing audit data, supporting documentation, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

o Liaise with internal and external auditors to address queries and finalize audit reports.

2. MIS (Management Information System):

o Prepare and close monthly/quarterly MIS reports in coordination with the Senior Manager – Finance.

o Oversee the preparation of stock valuation files for quarterly factory closings, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness.

3. Accounts Receivable & Payable (AR & AP):

o Monitor AR & AP aging reports regularly to ensure timely collection and payment cycles.

o Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address issues and discrepancies raised by juniors or other departments.

4. Taxation and Compliance (GSTR, TDS, and TCS):

o Finalize monthly and quarterly GST returns and perform thorough verification post-filing.

o Ensure timely and accurate calculation and payment of TDS and TCS, including reviewing preparation by assistants.

o Stay updated on changes in tax laws and implement necessary adjustments in compliance processes.

5. Ledger Scrutiny and Reconciliation:

o Conduct detailed ledger scrutiny for specific business segments, such as Paints, to identify discrepancies and implement corrections.

o Ensure ledger accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

6. Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis:

o Prepare customized MIS and other management-requested reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

o Provide financial insights and analytics to support strategic decision-making.

7. Financial Control and Risk Management:

o Identify areas of financial risk and propose control measures to mitigate potential losses.

o Implement and maintain robust internal controls for all financial operations
