Job Description:

A Chartered Accountant plays a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company. This role involves ensuring compliance with all financial regulations, preparing financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and offering insights to aid in decision-making. A Senior Chartered Accountant also ensures internal controls, tax compliance, and effective audit management.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements) in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Ensure accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.

Month-End and Year-End Closing: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation, ensuring that all deadlines are met and reports are accurate.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of financial budgets and forecasts. Track and analyze financial performance against budget, providing variance analysis and recommendations for improvement.

Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identifying key trends, opportunities, and areas for operational or cost improvement. Present findings and recommendations to senior management to drive strategic decisions.

General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the general ledger by reconciling accounts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring proper recording of financial transactions.

Tax Compliance: Ensure proper tax planning and preparation of returns, including income tax, GST, and payroll tax. Stay updated on tax regulations and compliance requirements to optimize the company's tax position.
