### Key Responsibilities:

1. **Assist in Procedures**:

- Prepare patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures, such as angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements, and heart catheterizations.

- Assist cardiologists and other medical professionals during catheterization procedures by handing instruments, setting up equipment, and ensuring the procedure goes smoothly.

2. **Prepare and Maintain Equipment**:

- Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as fluoroscopy machines, electrocardiogram (ECG) monitors, and pressure injectors.

- Ensure all equipment is properly sterilized, functioning, and ready for use during procedures.

3. **Patient Care and Safety**:

- Prepare patients by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort.

- Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after the procedure to ensure they remain stable.

- Ensure patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations.

4. **Record Keeping and Documentation**:

- Record procedure details, including patient data, images, and the results of tests.

- Document any complications or unusual findings during the procedure.

5. **Post-Procedure Care**:

- Assist in post-procedure patient care, including monitoring recovery and ensuring that patients are transferred safely to recovery rooms.

6. **Quality Control**:

- Ensure all imaging and diagnostic equipment used is in proper working order and calibrated as needed.

- Assist with maintaining inventory of lab supplies, and order or replace equipment as necessary.
