Job Description

The Billing Cashier is responsible for efficiently handling customer transactions, ensuring

accurate billing, and providing exceptional service in a fashion jewellery store. This role

requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced

retail environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

 Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.

 Assist customers with inquiries about products, prices, and promotions

 Accurately process sales transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

 Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, ensuring proper change and receipts are

given.

 Generate accurate invoices for customer purchases.

 Verify the accuracy of prices, discounts, and taxes on each transaction.

 Maintain records of all transactions for auditing purposes.

 Process returns and exchanges according to store policies.

 Resolve customer complaints or escalate them to the appropriate manager.

 Count and balance cash register drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.

 Report any discrepancies in cash drawer to the store manager immediately.

 Ensure the security of all cash and financial transactions.

 Assist with inventory counts and ensure that displays are replenished as needed.

 Report low stock levels to the store manager or inventory team.

 Ensure that jewellery items are displayed securely and attractively.

 Work closely with sales associates and management to provide a seamless customer

experience.

 Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.

 Support colleagues during busy periods and special events.

Qualifications and Skills:

 Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred.

 Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism.

 Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer skills.
