Required Experience (Mandatory):

ü 8+ years of proven experience with reputed organization (MNC, Consulting Organization,

Corporate having a sizeable carbon credit portfolio)

ü Proven expertise in the transaction of various kinds of carbon credits including CERs, VCUs,

GS CERs, GS VERs etc.

ü Thorough knowledge of the legal framework for executing emission reduction purchase

agreements (ERPAs) with various domestic and global agencies

ü Strong network and linkages with major buyers of carbon credits including large

corporates, bilateral and multilateral funding agencies, domestic/global brokerage

agencies and carbon exchanges

ü Knack of developing long-term effective association with potential buyers of carbon credits

under any of the afore-mentioned categories

ü Detailed knowledge of all the rules and regulations of the prevalent and upcoming carbon

credit mechanisms including Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Gold Standard (GS),

VERRA (VCS), Global Climate Council (GCC) etc.

ü Thorough knowledge of the legalities and other nuances of the international treaties and

agreements driving carbon credit market including Kyoto Protocol, Paris Agreement etc.

ü Excellent skills in Articulation and Report Writing so that the carbon portfolio of the

organization is disseminated to the target agencies in an effective manner

ü Excellent teamwork capabilities to ensure that efforts put in by the entire team are

leveraged for the overall upliftment of the carbon portfolio

ü Knack of developing unique solutions to the problems and challenges faced during the

transaction of various kinds of carbon credits

Educational Qualification:

ü MBA/Advanced degree in Commerce from a reputed institute

ü Basic preferred qualification would be ./ in Mechanical/Electrical/Environmental

Sciences or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Economics from a reputed institute
