CAD Designer Responsibilities:
Use design software to produce 2D and/or 3D designs, depending on the complexity of the project
Provide accurate, detailed, and scale drawings.
Familiarity with CAD software and modeling tools
Preparing shop drawings, component drawings, and layout plans by using AutoCAD software.
Preparing rendering images by using 3DSmax software, Sketch Up
Performing calculations and preparing materials lists and cost estimates as required.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to start a project with little guidance and communication needs.
Actively participate as a member of multifunctional project teams executing capital and technical projects from concept to implementation
Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills
Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to develop design concepts and specifications
Reviewing and revising technical drawings and models to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
Conducting research and staying up to date with the latest developments in CAD technology and design techniques.
CAD Designer Qualifications:
Associate degree or equivalent experience in design, architecture, construction engineering, or similar field is preferred
Advanced knowledge of architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, Autodesk BIM, Solid works, 3DS Max, Chief Architect Premier: Construction Drawings, SketchUp, and Lumion
Possess a firm grasp on the industry as a whole and stay up to date on evolving trends in architectural technologies.
Preferred from Modular furniture / Interior background
Minimum of 1 year work experience as a CAD Designer, or a similar role.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp or equivalent to sketch up Certification
Certification in Auto CAD software (3DSmax, SketchUp or Python)
Provide alternative design concepts to meet customer requirements.
Create and update database of design records for future reference purposes
