We are looking for a Business Development Manager having both technical expertise and salesmanship. The business development specialist has to identify new business opportunities and have a competitive edge in their assigned market.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Finds and assess a business opportunity in their assigned territory for information-technology sales.
Must be able to convince a potential client of the advantages of implementing an IT solution to help improve business.
Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes decisions about purchasing
Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
Preparing PowerPoint presentations and sales displays
Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the companys services
Developing quotes and proposals
Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person
