Job Description

The Director of Business Development is basically included in strategic terms of the whole sales construction.

His/her main challenge is to develop and maintain contact with business generators, meeting and convention planners, travel agents, tour operators, airlines, corporate client accounts, government departments and other producers closely allied to hotel business.

A Director of Business Development is not involved in daily operations of sale. In fact he/she is rather developing strategies, which are realized by other sales staff.

Innovative, being able to think in concepts and a fine gasp for numbers are qualities a Director of Business Development must have.
