The Building Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of all building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & AC), and structural components. This role also includes managing the Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for equipment and systems, as well as overseeing the maintenance and functionality of the auditorium and its specialized equipment. The Building Maintenance Engineer ensures a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for occupants and visitors.
General Building Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, elevators, etc.) to ensure optimal functionality.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with building infrastructure and equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
Coordinate and oversee repairs, renovations, and upgrades to building systems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) Management:
Liaise with AMC vendors and service providers to ensure timely and quality maintenance of equipment and systems.
Monitor AMC performance, including response times, service quality, and adherence to contract terms.
Schedule and supervise AMC-related activities, such as equipment servicing, inspections, and repairs.
Maintain an inventory of equipment covered under AMC and ensure all documentation is up to date.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to AMC agreements to optimize costs and service levels.
Auditorium Maintenance:
Oversee the maintenance and operation of the auditorium, including seating, lighting, sound systems, stage equipment, and HVAC systems.
Ensure the auditorium is set up and functional for events, meetings, and performances.
