Job Summary:We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our

healthcare team. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in our laboratory services by efficiently

and safely collecting blood samples from patients of all ages, including babies, young children, and

adults. Your expertise in blood collection techniques, attention to detail, and ability to provide a

positive patient experience will contribute to our organization's commitment to delivering high-

quality healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

Blood Collection: Perform venipuncture and skin punctures to collect blood samples from

patients of varying ages and conditions, including infants, young children, and adults. Follow

proper protocols, techniques, and safety guidelines to ensure accurate and hygienic blood

collection.

Patient Interaction: Greet patients, explain the blood collection procedure, and provide

reassurance and comfort to alleviate anxiety and ensure a positive patient experience.

Address any questions or concerns from patients and their caregivers in a professional and

empathetic manner.

Pediatric Phlebotomy: Possess specialized skills and knowledge in drawing blood from

paediatric patients, including newborns, infants, and children. Utilize age-appropriate

techniques and equipment to minimize discomfort and ensure the safety and well-being of

paediatric patients during the blood collection process.

Specimen Labelling and Documentation: Accurately label collected blood samples,

ensuring proper patient identification and traceability. Complete necessary paperwork,

requisitions, and electronic documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
