As a Billing Executive at our supermarket, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout process for our customers. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and friendly behaviour will contribute to a positive shopping experience. You will be responsible for accurately processing transactions, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining a tidy and organized checkout area.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Processing: Accurately scan and process items for customers using our billing system.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering their questions, and addressing any concerns they may have. Assist with locating products, explaining pricing, and resolving any billing discrepancies.
Product Knowledge: Develop a good understanding of the products we offer, including their prices, special promotions, and location within the store. This knowledge will help you assist customers more effectively.
Billing Accuracy: Ensure that every transaction is processed accurately, and prices are correctly applied. Double-check items that require manual input, such as produce or bulk items, to prevent errors.
Cash Management: Handle cash transactions responsibly, count cash at the beginning and end of your shift, and maintain accurate records. Adhere to cash-handling policies and procedures.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the checkout area clean and organized, including removing empty carts and baskets, wiping down surfaces, and arranging promotional materials neatly.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow team members to manage customer flow during peak hours, provide backup support to other roles as needed, and contribute to a positive work environment.
