Excellent programming skills and knowledge of Java/Scala

Solid and fluent understanding of algorithm and data structures

Ability to learn new and existing technologies

Excellent software design, problem solving and debugging skills

Ability to learn new and existing technologies such as Spark, NoSql, Cassandra, Kafka, Map Reduce, Hadoop ecosystem is a must have

Experience of providing technical leadership to a small team is a big plus.

Experience with data analytics and ability to mine data to obtain is much appreciated

Demonstrated high ownership in previous projects

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Experience: 4 to 8 yrs in that with 2Yrs exp with Big data and

1. Having 2+yr exp in Java / Python with Microservice, Play framework

or

2. Having 2+yr exp in Scala with MVC Framework

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Maps team is developing tools to analyze, visualize, process, manage and curate data at large scale. Our team combines disparate signals such as data analytics, community engagement, and user feedback to improve the Maps Platform.

1. As an Engineer, you are responsible for analyzing large data sets to identify errors in the map.

2. As an Engineer, you are responsible to design and implement a complex algorithm for resolving the issue, review the solution with a team of engineers and analysts, and integrate the resulting solution into the data processing pipeline.
