Responsibilities

• Work with front-end developers and provide server-side algorithms of user-facing web application elements.

• Optimize the application for increasing response time and efficiency.

• Develop and manage APIs that are executed across the devices.

• Maintain a stable server with zero downtime.

• Work and collaborate with the rest of the development team

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.

• Develop a flexible and well-structured back-end architecture, along with the APIs to support it.

• Test backend api’s.

• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade backend api’s.

• Write technical documentation.

• Work with Tech Lead to improve software.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer.

• Experience developing API’s and handling application databases and web servers.

• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages like Java (vertx), Python.

• Familiarity with Shell scripting is a plus.

• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (. React, Redux, ).

• Familiarity with databases (. PSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (. Nginx).

• Knowledge of RESTful web services.

• Experience with Maven, GIT.

• Strong understanding in Relational database concepts.

• Strong knowledge of SQL.

• Experience working in a Linux environment and open source libraries.

• Agile/lean software development techniques and supporting tools like JIRA.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Organizational skills.

• An analytical mind.

• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field

The understanding of the Health Tech industry is a plus.
