Associate engineers are qualified engineers, who are responsible for designing, developing, manufacturing, operating and maintaining products, equipment and processes. The exact duties depend on the organization and industry you work in a civil engineer will not have the same daily duties as a mechanical engineer, for example. The common factor is that all associate engineers use their technical knowledge to perform routine engineering tasks, such as performing calculations, operating machinery and preparing reports.
