Job Summary:
The Department of Surgery is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual for the position of Assistant Professor in General Surgery. The successful candidate will engage in teaching, clinical care, research, and academic responsibilities, contributing to the growth and excellence of the General Surgery department. Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Provide high-quality care to patients in the field of general surgery, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative management.
Participate in on-call rotations, emergency surgery, and outpatient consultations.
Perform surgical procedures in various sub-specialties of general surgery, including but not limited to abdominal surgery, hernia repairs, laparoscopic surgery, and trauma care.
Supervise residents and medical students during patient care, surgeries, and clinical rotations.
Teaching and Education:
Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in the clinical, technical, and ethical aspects of surgery.
Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and practical workshops on topics related to general surgery.
Supervise surgical residents' clinical rotations, providing feedback and guidance to ensure the highest standards of surgical education.
Participate in departmental educational activities, including grand rounds, morbidity and mortality conferences, and journal clubs.
Qualification - MBBS, MS/MD
