Role and Responsibilities:-
• Understand and share the available market opportunity for new and existing categories, markets and brands
• Understand the trends prevailing in the international market and provide inputs for customizing the same to suit the needs of the domestic market
• Drive the sales, margin and inventory for the concept
• Initiate buying as per OTB and ensure timely delivery and availability of right stocks at the store
• Interact with the brand partners/vendors at regular intervals to meet the product availability norms and build relationships
• Address and resolve operational issues within the defined timelines
• Understand and share the customer needs and feedback
• Manage and guide the team to deliver on the job (for people managers only)

Product Strategy and Planning
• Understand the trends prevailing in the international market and provide inputs for customizing the same to suit the needs of the domestic market

Product Performance and Profitability
• Drive the sales, margin and inventory for the concept
• Manage timely delivery and availability of right stocks at the store
• Ensure stocks are maintained as per display capacity and base stock norms
• Review and ensure the availability of the active assortment of brands as per defined norms (only for brands)
• Monitor the ageing of stock with reference to the total stock available as per defined norms
• Track sales performance of brands/private label and take required actions
• Perform gap analysis post launch for new products and new brands and take required actions
• Analyze product feedback and implement required actions to address the feedback
• Be aware of the profitable and non-profitable brands/private label and implement required actions
• Track competition with respect to business performance , promotion productivity
