Area Sales Manager (ASM) - FMCG Tea Distribution
Position Overview:
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales and market share growth within a designated territory for a tea distribution company. The ASM will manage a team of sales representatives, develop and implement sales strategies, and ensure the achievement of sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
Prepare and present sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.
Team Management:
Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives.
Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews.
Motivate and support the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
Market Development:
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors.
Conduct regular market visits to gather feedback and understand customer needs.
Sales Execution:
Monitor sales activities and performance metrics to ensure effective execution.
Implement promotional programs and activities to boost sales.
Ensure the proper placement and visibility of products in retail outlets.
Reporting and Analysis:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
Analyze sales data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
Provide regular feedback and insights to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector, preferably in tea or beverage distribution.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth.
