Administer general, regional, and local and block anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

To provide anesthesia to surgical cases involving the heart, lungs, and other procedures ranging from minimally invasive surgery to complex multi-stage aortic surgery.

Management of patient’s physical condition in pre and post-care units through the use of invasive monitors.

Ability to perform the physical examination and assessment of patients, interpretation of diagnostic test results, airway management, pharmacological management, and emergency cardioversion defibrillation.

As an intensivist, he/she oversees many decisions involved in a critically ill patient’s care and coordinates all the other services the patient may need.
