Exp in Maintenance & Production at plant level in Chocolates/Confec/Biscuits category . ( from NIT Tier 2 (Mechanical) ( 5-6 Yrs. Exp)(Mech is preferred however okay with automation/instrumentation or electrical background)

JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure accurate planning of project investments and equipment related requirements within
manufacturing requirements and category budgetary constraints to ensure capacity readiness as per plan,
improving product/process quality and efficiency.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• / (Electrical/Mechanical Engineering).
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in FMCG Foods business (preferably from Snacks & Noodle
Category)
SCOPE OF THE JOB:
• Principal Accountabilities:
o Evaluate, design and execute cost reduction projects and capacity expansion projects. This
shall involve estimation of Capital investment requirements for projects finalized with cost-
benefit analysis. This shall include design in line with Food Safety Guidelines, National
Building Code (NBC) and State Bye-Laws while adhering to ITC Corporate EHS norms.
o Prepare factory layout (zonal plan with equipment layout) for capacity expansion project.
This shall include following
â–ª Study, analyze and collect data for current processes.
â–ª Establish relationship between factory layout and these processes using Value
Stream Mapping (VSM) thereby eliminating Non Value Addition (NVA) processes.
o Prepare technical specifications with sizing for process machineries required basis product
to be manufactured. This shall include following
â–ª Evaluate and induct new technology to optimize operating cost with emphasis on
improving manpower productivity.
â–ª Design process machinery with focus on improving product quality to reduce
product defects.
