Air hostesses, also known as cabin crew members, are responsible for the safety and comfort of passengers during flights. Their duties include:

Safety

Ensuring passengers follow security regulations, checking the condition of emergency equipment, and demonstrating safety procedures

Passenger comfort

Greeting passengers, showing them to their seats, and providing special attention to those with special needs

Food and beverage service

Preparing and serving meals and refreshments

Cabin preparation

Checking the cabin before takeoff to ensure seats are clean and emergency equipment is accessible

Other duties

Providing information and guidance, checking tickets, dimming or brightening cabin lights, and supplying passengers with entertainment

Emergencies

Managing evacuation procedures, administering first aid, and reporting in-flight medical emergencies

Air hostesses should have customer service skills, excellent verbal communication skills, and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. They should also be sensitive and respectful of cultural differences
