- A farm manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and
strategic management of a farm. This includes a wide range of
responsibilities, such as:
-Crops and livestock management
-Overseeing the fertilization, planting, watering, cultivation, and harvesting of crops, as well as the general treatment of animals on a livestock farm.
-Team Management
Overall management of team- Agriculture supervisors, and other employees engaged in the company, performance analysis of the team members, coordination and day to day progress.
-Farmers Management
To deal with contact farmers, camping/ education to farmers for cultivation and other arrangements which required for desired production under buy back arrangements etc.
-Financial planning
Preparing budgets, managing the farm budget, and setting production targets
-Overall farm maintenance
Keeping an inventory record, regularly checking the divisions of a farm to identify when it's appropriate to order additional supplies, and ensuring a farm has adequate supplies available to produce a healthy harvest
-Administrative tasks
Purchasing supplies, maintaining relationships with vendors and clients, and ensuring maximum profitability
-Business decisions
Making decisions about what crops to grow, how to use the land, and how to best care for the animals
-Marketing the farm's products
