Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to meet the enrollment goals of the institution
Respond to inquiries from prospective students and their families through various communication channels including email, phone, text, and social media
Conduct campus tours and attend college fairs to promote the institution
Review applications for admission and make admission decisions in accordance with institutional policies and procedures
Evaluate and assess applicants' qualifications, including academic credentials and extracurricular activities, to determine eligibility for admission
Counsel prospective students and their families about the admissions process, academic programs, financial aid, and other aspects of student life
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with prospective students and their families
Collaborate with other departments such as financial aid, academic advising, and housing to ensure a smooth transition for admitted students
Participate in orientation programs and other events for new students
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field required
Experience in admissions, student recruitment, or related field preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Familiarity with student information systems and databases
Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Passion for higher education and commitment to student success
Note: As an admissions counselor, you will be responsible for recruiting and admitting students to our institution. Your primary role will be to provide information to prospective students and their families, guide them through the admissions process, and ensure that they have a positive experience.
