Job Title Account Officer (Only Locals from Mauritius)

Responsibilities

Analyzing financial statements, verifying accounts payable and receivable, preparing the budget as well as financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting transactions.

Working in collaboration with Internal Auditor, External Auditors, and other Accountants.

Investigating financial transactions and records on a daily basis.

Analyzing account activities of various other departments of the organization.

Reviewing incoming and outgoing invoices.

Payroll make sure everyone gets paid (including the government)

Reporting preparing financial reports, . P&L, Balance sheets and budgets.

Managing financial records in compliance with tax and accounting laws.

Evaluating internal control systems and providing necessary suggestions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Excellent communication skills, amazing time management skills as well as the ability to pay attention to detail.

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Prior experience working as an Accounting Officer or a similar position in the Accounting Department.

A professional certificate such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) will be an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools.

Outstanding understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Ability to manage and handle multiple tasks.
