Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
o Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
o Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
o Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
o Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing actionable insights.
Reporting & Compliance:
o Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.
o Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and tax laws.
o Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate submission of all required documentation.
o Manage tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate payment of all taxes.
Team Leadership:
o Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
o Set performance objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and ensure the team meets its goals.
o Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, streamlining processes and implementing best practices.
Strategic Planning:
o Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies that support the companys business objectives.
o Provide financial analysis and recommendations for key business decisions, including investments, cost reductions, and revenue enhancements.
o Identify financial risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
