Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports organization's finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all accounting transactions.
2. Prepare budget forecasts.
3. Publish financial statements on time.
4. Handle Monthly, Quarterly and Annual closings.
5. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
6. Ensure timely Bank Payments.
7. Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
8. Manage Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement.
9. Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups as and when necessary.
10. Comply with Financial Policies and Regulations.
11. Should be familiar with Microsoft Excel.
Requirements:
1. Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
2. Awareness of business trends
3. Experience with creating financial statements
4. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
5. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
6. Accuracy and attention to detail
7. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
8. Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
9. Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards, gaining experience in researching as it relates to accounting issues
