Accountant is responsible for managing and analyzing financial information and ensuring that financial records are accurate and compliant with relevant laws and regulations. This role involves preparing financial reports, conducting audits, reconciling accounts, and providing financial advice to management.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Generate management reports and financial summaries.
Accounts Management:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Process accounts payable and receivable.
Prepare and post journal entries.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget variances and report significant issues.
Compliance and Audits:
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
Taxation:
Prepare tax returns and ensure timely filing.
Stay updated on tax regulations and advise management on tax-related matters.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis.
Other Duties:
Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Participate in financial planning and strategy development.
Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
