Job Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role will involve to maintain accurate financial records and support financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Transactions: Process accounts payable and receivable, reconcile accounts, and manage general ledger entries.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts; monitor actual performance against budgeted figures.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns (GST, ITR etc) and ensure compliance with local, state, and central tax regulations.
Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits and implement recommendations for improvement.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation. Maintain the MIS.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications (., CPA) is a plus.
Experience: 20 years of accounting experience. Previous experience with financial reporting and tax compliance is preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (., Tally prime, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Certifications: CPA or other relevant certifications are preferred but not required
