Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

• Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

• Support senior accountants and management with ad-hoc tasks.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.

• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Previous experience (internship or entry-level position) in accounting preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Detail-oriented and organized.

A report published by the Office of Advocacy in the US in 2019, indicated that 44% of the economic activities happen through SMEs. Around 60 million Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in India employ nearly 40% of the non-agricultural workforce and contribute around 36% to the GDP. Their contribution to export is nearly 50% in developing economies.
SMEs have a significant social impact as well. The Cooperative Enterprises and Distribution of the SMEs across the geographics make them critical instruments of employment and economic development.
However, the Indian SME story is yet to reach its climax. Although before and during the pandemic, government has taken radical steps to empower and create a level playing field for Indian MSMEs, a major section of MSMEs continue to struggle for survival and growth.
Using the gained experience to become a business enabler for Indian MSMEs in manufacturing segment, in 2015, Maxentra Consultants Private Limited was formed.
