Financial Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records like accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll, with particular attention to diamond-specific details like stone identification numbers and pricing based on quality parameters.

Inventory Management:

Tracking diamond inventory, including detailed recording of carat weight, clarity, color, cut, and associated costs for each stone, ensuring accurate valuation and reconciliation.

Sales and Purchase Transactions:

Processing sales transactions to customers, including invoicing and payment collection, as well as managing diamond purchases from suppliers, verifying documentation and pricing.

Financial Reporting:

Preparing accurate and timely financial statements like income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, highlighting key performance indicators relevant to the diamond business.

Compliance:

Ensuring compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific guidelines related to diamond trading.

Internal Controls:

Implementing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard diamond inventory and prevent financial irregularities.

Cost Analysis:

Analyzing diamond-related costs, including cutting and polishing expenses, to identify areas for cost optimization.

Auditing Support:

Collaborating with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

Expertise in financial software and data analysis tools

Detailed knowledge of the diamond industry, including grading systems and market dynamics

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
