he Creditors Clerk/Accountant is responsible for gathering all documents received by the creditor and organizing them by preparing the regular payments & update the cash book on a daily basis with Accounting functions.
Critical experience:5 years of full function Creditors and Bookkeeping experience
Technical competencies/ Professional expertise:
Preparation of creditors age analysis and intercompany reconciliations for weekly cash flow
Payment of Invoices
Check figures against commission schedules for accuracy within specified deadlines
Pay employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances; preparing cheques
Ensure invoices are properly authorized in accordance with levels of authority and allocate it to correct Supplier & General Ledger accounts on a daily basis
Accurately prepare Monthly reconciliations of Creditors Accounts Statements against the A/P Age Analysis.
. Preparation of journal: Performs and monitors all expenditures, journal and ledger entries, bank statements, account activity and other accounting and financial records. Ensure financial recording accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and established accounting standards, procedures and internal controls
. Creditors reconciliation: Accurately reconcile G/L and Creditors Accounts on a Monthly basis to make sure that accounts are correctly balanced
Maintaining creditors files and supporting documentation (contracts):Performs a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties such as: processing accounts payable (A/P) invoices and related documentation; reconciling and balances cheque payments and accounts to the General Ledger; follows up to resolve discrepancies with suppliers; verifying balances and reconciles bank accounts; deposits cash and cheque to bank accounts; discusses and resolves account discrepancies with bank staff
