Academic Coordinator
Akshaya Vidya foundation is a not for profit organization based in Hyderabad. Our mission is to transform the lives of children in slums with the power of education. Our vision is to be part of a society where every child has the access to quality education irrespective of his or her background and develop their full potential.
We currently run 120 centres in various slums in Hyderabad.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Reports to the Academic Head of Akshaya Vidya Foundation
2. Ensure timely delivery of text books, class materials to all the centres
3. Coordinate Printing of Textbooks and Class Materials
4. Design tests for the centres to measure learning outcomes along with Academic Head
5. Regularly visit centres in slums to test learning outcomes and conduct classroom observations
6. Design classroom observation formats along with academic head
7. Work closely with the operations team to ensure academic delivery is of the highest standard
8. Work Timings 11 am to 8 pm
9. Monday to Saturday
10. Once a month Saturday and Sunday ( Overnight ) Compulsory Working for conducting training camps for 100 plus tutors.
11. Design Training Materials according to the guidance given by Academic Head
12. Mentor Tutors and establish a working relationship with them
13. Perform any other task as deemed fit by the organization as the organizational needs evolve
Qualifications
1. B Ed or M Ed with at least 2 years of teaching experience or experience in academic operations
2. Proficient in MS office
3. Excellent written and spoken English skills
4. Must be fluent in Telugu
5. Must be willing to travel in Hyderabad from slum to slum everyday
6. Having a bike or scooty is a must
