Job Overview: A 3D Modeller creates digital 3D models for use in various industries, including video games, film, architecture, virtual reality, and product design. They work with 3D modeling software to craft detailed representations of objects, characters, environments, and other visual elements that are then used in a range of digital media. The role involves technical skills in modeling, texturing, and rendering, as well as collaboration with other creative professionals, such as animators, visual effects artists, and designers.

Key Responsibilities:

3D Modeling: Create high-quality, detailed 3D models of objects, characters, environments, or architectural elements based on design specifications, references, and creative direction.

Texturing and Mapping: Apply textures, materials, and shaders to models to ensure they look realistic and visually appealing in the intended medium.

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as animation, lighting, and VFX teams to ensure that models are properly integrated into the final product.

Concept Design and Visualization: Assist in developing visual concepts and translating 2D designs into 3D models.

Optimization: Ensure that 3D models are optimized for performance across different platforms (., gaming engines, VR environments, etc.), including polygon count, UV mapping, and texture sizes.

Feedback Incorporation: Revise models and textures based on feedback from directors, clients, or other team members to meet project requirements and quality standards.

Rigging Support (Optional): In some cases, assist with rigging models for animation by preparing skeletal structures and facial expressions.
